Can't escape it forever though.

On the plus side, gastro and migraine a distant memory. I feel better for having done a decent impression of a koala and sleeping 18 out of the last 24 hours. And MIL is home from hospital! Surgeons got all the cancer in one go and no chemo or radio therapy needed!!!!! Just a colostomy repair in about six weeks time.

So all in all an awesome day!

I own 3 irons (?) and have not used one in 20 years. Don't wear dress shirts or slacks. My clothes seem to come out OK if removed promptly. Or maybe I'm just a slob.

Drain came out relatively painlessly which was good. Bad news is that I now have a huge hole in my thigh from where it was and under house arrest for another 48 hours until it's had a chance to close. Bored does not begin to describe my current state.

More of the same tomorrow unfortunately.

Things on an even keel in the NB household right now. Mr NB flew back to KL this afternoon so am dreading this weekend when Miss NB the eldest may play me up! Currently eating slow cooked stew and dumplings and enjoying the first of many glasses of vino!!

Hope everyone is on the up soon xx

Not bad. Finished night work yesterday and have one whole day off (today) and then start back at 8am tomorrow, which is going to hurt!

So today had a nice sleep in and then picked up the new car this arvo

But for tonight, Mr PP is making his own homemade pizza and we have some beer to wash it down and I think, some apple crumble is left over from yesterday which is begging to be eaten.

Its bloody cold today, I think the gas heater will be on later.
Good luck with the immunosupressants, and I'll drink your wine for you, as I can't eat your maltesers! (or pizza, or apple crumble...)

When I'm bored I cook/eat. I can't see to sew - yet.
Hope the hole closes quickly and you get out and about.

All's good All the builders who have owed me money dating back to the beginning of April have finally paid up and I have a very healthy looking bank account today.

Doctor has just phoned- it is NOT cancer My results show I'm still borderline for pregnancy, but also that I have hit the menopause.
DEFINITELY NOT PREGNANT!
It is my pituitary gland which is producing low levels of HCG, the pregnancy hormone, enough to register as a "might be"- apparently some menopausal women do this. Let's just hope that I can convince the drug trial people to keep me on the trial.

To say I am relieved is an understatement.
