People who are constantly exclaiming how dark it is at 5pm now. This annoyed me before I moved and it has continued, every year the same 'type' of people. "Oh, it's only 4.30 and look how dark it is!"

No s**t Sherlock.

(I'm just mentally preparing myself for when the clocks go back and these morons come out of the woodwork.)

Yeah, I hate that. It'll be darker an hour earlier on Sunday evening so gird your loins.

I don't have time for the 'oh no, it was dark this morning and now it's dark this afternoon' crowd. Nobody sits there at 8:00 in the evening during the summer going 'look how light it is'.

Twunts.

Apparently lacking anything worthwhile to report, and desperate to fill the time slot.

It's local breakfast news - that's what the entire programme, beyond the weather and traffic is :D

We only put it on for the local weather in the first place. Most of the time I'm not even listening.

When I used to work, I used to listen to our local NPR station just twice a day, driving in to work then again in the afternoon, driving home. They had local and regional news in the 8 to 9am slot. Then, at 4:45 in the afternoon, they repeated a couple of the local stories from the morning. So I usually got to hear the same damn reports twice. At least if I stayed at work late, I got to hear the national NPR news.

I do listen to it on the way home, and some afternoons when I'm off. I work every other weekend so then as well, fufiling my sports trivia with It's Only A Game on Sat am and On Being for a spiritual fix on Sun am. My pet peeve is that Car Talk on Sun while driving home has been replaced with A Prairie Home Companion on BOTH Sat and Sun. SAME SHOW!! :frown::frown:

For some reason I've become intolerant of Prairie Home Companion and Car Talk. They've just been on too long ... Used to listen to both back in the seventies for G-d's sake! Both have now mercifully retired, I believe, so it's repeats from here on in.

I used to work in Harvard Square; the Car Talk office really did have Dewey, Cheetham & Howe on the window, in gold paint like an old fashioned lawyers office.

Clock change....finding even more things that need to manually get the time changed like the camera, microwave etc, etc.

Winter proofing the apartment, just a pain in the arse...and where the hell does all that shit you saved from the last winter ever end up? Because it's not where you last put it :/

Cabinet/shelves that are spaced just a little to low to stick stuff on or make it impossible to get things in and out of.

Baking pans....how they're impossible to stack and store and you always find you end up needing that thing that's at the bottom, which is there because you never need it :/

NBC Sports Live app, not being able to play anything live on Android and the contact link in the help tab goes to a dead page.

Handful of folks on the local Freecycle who seem to grab any and everything making it impossible to get anything. Either them, or folks not turning up when you offer stuff.

Local photo place, got given a groupon for it and finding them impossible to get a slot to use it.

The mall and all the shops are already decorated for Christmas, along with music....I have so many more that my head is about to explode...
