People on the US Immigration and Visas and Marriage-Based Visas sections of the forum who post a question immediately above a thread that started with the same question and already has 4 pages of discussion. And there are half a dozen other threads further down on the same page that also started with the same question.

You're right, I did forget that part.

And I also forgot about those who join a thread posting that their situation is exactly the same - but it isn't.

That's not just the US immigration forum. Take a read of the Australian immi forum some time.

And then never come back again to update any questions put forward, or to thank anyone for the help.

The best ones are those who get a bit frosty when they get replies they don't like :D

Yes, when word gets back from the colonies, the Queen sends a man in a frock coat and stockings to forcibly divest you of your British citizenship!

I have that one guy locked in a closet at my place. They never did send the girl to find him though.

I'm in exactly the same situation - my I-485 has been at the CSC for 8 months now, and when I call the embassy they tell me they don't know anything about my case

I stepped away for a few hours and there is a new 'Can I work on the VWP?' thread as well as a fresh 'I'm desperate for a new life in The Land of the Free and don't know where to start'.
