British Expats - Pet Peeves?

The lovely new suit the missus got herself....how one half of the suit is dry clean only...but you can chuck the legs in the washing machine. WTF is that about?

It will be the lining in the jacket that is dryclean only - which is why you can wash the trouser,

Still dumb though, the pants will end up being a different shade/texture to the jacket.

You could always do a test - take them both to the dry cleaners and see what happens and then chuck them both in the washing machine and see what happens :sneaky:

One of my friends in the UK works for Johnsons and she says nearly all of the stuff that comes into them to be "drycleaned" goes in the regular washer

I always figured "Dry cleaning" was just hitting it with a stick.
