I've given up on non-stick pans. Stainless steel with a bit of soaking works just as well.

Can anyone state that Law?

I reckon that among me and the other three guys in my office, one of us can.

When the town grits the road after the morning commute.

When the town then grits the pavement, but only on the road side half, so you either have the choice of falling over, or getting splashed by slush by every car going by.

When the pavement is only gritted between the string of main street shops, so once past that last shop and towards the library and up the hill, there's no grit...because that's a barrel of laughs.

When they don't grit the pavement in front of shops having construction....which is quite a lot of downtown right now.

It's the time of year when one starts to swear like a pirate again.

I mean, who needs to worry about safety when it's freezing rain and there's a layer of ice on the roads and pavements :/

What's all this talk about "grit"? You need to get yourself to somewhere where "grits" are an unpleasant cereal concoction not something you spread on the road and pavement. ..... Though, now that I think about it, throwing grits into the road isn't a bad idea!

Do a lot of people walk where you live, Bob? I see this sort of thing too where snow removal and such mysteriously ends. Also in the summer where the city lets its sprinklers sprinkle the entire sidewalk and into the road so a pedestrian will get wet. Or where sidewalks just end and you have to cross the street because only one side of the street needs a sidewalk, apparently.

And I think it's all because not many people walk anywhere.

And then they compound it by sending you a leaflet with your water bill telling you how to conserve water by making sure your sprinklers are properly adjusted...:banghead:

Not all that many walk in general, except in downtown as parking is off to one end...plus I was walking home after dropping car off for a service.
Town over you do find more people walking, but usually not by choice.
