Worse were the utility poles right in the middle of the pavements, really what is the point of that? And another annoying thing, tomato and blueberry stains on tupperware, impossible to get rid of and the tubs now all looking a bit manky. What is it with making every possible effort here to block your view at junctions?! It's like they go deliberately out of their way to place utility poles, boards, hedges, shrubs, anything so that the view is obstructed. It's unbelievable. |

It's because the driving test is so easy, they give you a challenge after you pass instead.

Re: Pet Peeves?
Bl@@dy pumpkin and/or cinnamon in almost every thing you buy, foodwise at this time of year. I don't mind cinnamon in small quantities in things that would normally have it in, like apple pies. Having the smell of it blown through the A/C at the front door just makes me gag.

There is a reason people celebrate by letting them rot on their doorstep. Ugh. |
Re: Pet Peeves?
I like pumpkin pie and the various assorted pumpkin cakey things we get this time of year. There, I said it.
It's that sweet potato/marshmallow combination that I can never understand  |

I will, however, eat a whole host of other things that many on here would thumb their noses at, like green bean casserole and that marshmallow fluff stuff (though I will draw the line at putting that on the same plate as my main course, like the wife's lot does ) |

I never ate enough of it to get that far. I thought it looked weird, but in the interest of being nice to the person who made it and brought it to our house, I tried a piece. It tasted as weird as it looked so I politely declined.

Fluff is fine if you just eat it out of the container. Or spread it on Devil Dogs like a civilized person. :)
Can you just imagine that ... ? |

I would eat it out of the container at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but my wife keeps insisting that her mum made it for everyone and not just me.
