Still, we must not be downhearted.

On the plus side, it has a newspaper. And a drawer on the side that will allow the intrepid traveler to view the results of their efforts at leisure, sharing same with their fellow travelers should they so wish.

Now I'm not knocking it - I do like the brown leather. Very classy, while also practical ...

OK, back to peeves. Why is it that some people can't talk on the phone without shouting at three times normal speaking volume (i.e. six times mine because I strive to be extra quiet IN A BUSY OFFICE ****ING ENVIRONMENT).

Arse-prolapsingly annoying.

True, but I won a iPad doing a 5 minute one and got a bunch of Amazon gift cards, so worth it during lunch. Still annoying though.

Amazon gift cards would be worth it, if it was more than a couple of hundred bucks worth, I suppose.

iDevices....getting docs off the thing and I can't believe the only way to do it is plugging in a cable to transfer the stuff.

iCloud or bluetooth, should be simple, wireless ways, but no...the only easy way is to email the stuff to yourself. WTF is the point of that?

That's true, unless he was actually using one of said devices to do the typing, in which case less is definitely more better easier.

Why can't kids just sing Happy Birthday the normal way? Every time now they add "cha cha cha" after each line and all kinds of random stuff at the end (something to do with Chinese chicken?). Did someone think "Now there's a song that needs to be spruced up!". It was bad enough with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, but at least those additions didn't throw off the whole timing of the song and confuse everyone over the age of 20.

I have never encountered that. I hope I never do ...

All we had to contend with was some show-off trying to add in a harmony a third above on the last line but they were tone deaf so it ended up being a second-and-a-quarter and sounded like a cat being buggered by a tree.

Were you a perpetrator, or just a witness in this incident?

OK, it sounded rather akin to the sound I imagine a cat might make if someone were trying to insert a tree up its bottom.

Christ, you bloody literalists :D
