Hmm I like that one, as I assume it can only be used ironically. It would be too bloody stupid otherwise.

If only.

It's not all a bed of roses over here in retirement. I have to get up extra early on a Monday to put out the trash. :frown:

That's picking on you?

Do me a lemon - I'd have pointed that out in anyone's thread, you know that

No, because presumably nobody will be saying 'happy Wednesday' to me on that day.

No, they'll say Happy Hump Day instead. That will make everything else seem chilled and reasonable.

This is why arsebook is full of ****ing giraffes - this is the mentality of people we are dealing with now.

I wonder when my contemporaries became a bunch of insufferable cnuts though, they weren't that bad in school

Interesting markings on that one.

As far as arsebook (and well done for staying away ...) for some reason half of the world has put some stupid picture of a giraffe as their avatar. It smacks of fadism (real word?) and bandwagon jumping and being the contrarian that I am, I hate that.

New peeve:

These 'trendy' abbreviations people insist on using. Like 'vacay'. The Brits are particularly bad at this, with crap like 'spag bol' and other assorted bollocks. You sound like a bunch of ****ing yuppies. Stop it now.
