Cheese grating is not easy. I made my wife grilled cheese yesterday and she found the supermarket label and barcode in it halfway through eating it :o

That's a good contender for ironic post of the year, given that cheese is made by inoculating milk proteins with bacteria and waiting until the bacteria have digested it, which is a fair definition of "spoiled".

It's more of aggravation on a per occurrence basis. Irritation when it's seen, then forgotten about shortly thereafter.
It doesn't come close to the grocers' apostrophe (which I saw on a sign in a bloody supermarket the other day) or christians, for example ... |

Instructions to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. If you want me to turn up at 8.30am for an 8.45am appointment, why don't you just make the appointment time for 8.30am so we all know what time I'm supposed to arrive?

Sometimes, though, it works in your favour to be early because they might have a cancellation or something that means you end up getting seen more quickly.

At the earliest. Getting a smear test done by the practice nurse at my GP might have been more low-tech but there was considerably less (pardon me) fannying about!!!! |
