There are a few intersections round my way where I am able to see enough of the road I want to turn right onto by hanging back behind the sticky-outy car who is turning left.

That works at stop signs of course - where it really gets annoying is at traffic lights where they have no need to pull out so far but they still do, thus blocking my view for my right turn. Twunts.

Ok, on cars and intersections - how about the twunts that don't realize that when they are turning left out of a side road, just cos their own body is in the median strip it doesn't mean that their entire car is....round here the norm seems to be to get the front 2 wheels in the median, then leave the rest of the car blocking one of the lanes of the main road.. :frown:

People blocking you in

Yesterday lunchtime I left the pharmacy, got in my truck and attempted to back out but a car had pulled up and stopped right behind me. I waited a minute as I thought she was dropping someone off but when she didn't move I put down my window and asked very politely if she would move so I could back out. She ignored me. I got out my truck and asked again and she laughed and said I had room to swing out:confused:really?? So...I said I would if she didn't mind her car being hit. She then said I needed to take a test if I couldn't back out, all the while her car was right beside the back bumper of my truck. I was getting irate, it was my lunch hour and the idiot wouldn't move. I got my phone and I guess she thought I was calling the cops although I was actually calling my boss letting him know I was going to be late, so she moved. As I backed out she was doing the same thing to another driver.

Crazy

Fortunately in Texas they have rigorous controls to ensure that crazy people don't get guns, so you had nothing to worry about in that regard.

It did cross my mind about an hour later that she could have had a weapon :o

You might need to get in line behind Civilservant on that one, as it seems to aggravate him too.

It should aggravate anyone with a modicum of common sense. It irritates me almost as much as the constant and endless hand wringing and gnashing of teeth on here these days.

Me too, and what about people who say "Customs" when they probably mean "Immigration." As in "How do I convince customs at Orlando that I'm not planning buy a pool cleaning company?" Or similar.

Oh, it does aggravate me, as does confusing "customs' with "immigration", but in the grand scheme of things, VISA v visa doesn't hit my top ten list of daily stress factors.

It's more of aggravation on a per occurrence basis. Irritation when it's seen, then forgotten about shortly thereafter.

It doesn't come close to the grocers' apostrophe (which I saw on a sign in a bloody supermarket the other day) or christians, for example ...
