Hi All,
Looks like it loads of plants and flowers for the townhouses (see pictures)
Another interesting piece of info is that Banco Santander has just given a press release to say they are dropping all commisions on transfers, savings accounts, debit cards, lodging and writing out cheques and taking money from ATM.
Yes there are is a snag however you have to have a mortgage, pension plan, wages paid directly in or your pension. But hey its a start so lets see what the others do.

regards
Michael

Hi MichaelH,

That could not have been a bigger treat if I had been to the Barbers! Your 4th photo is almost the same view as one I took last September from almost the same spot right outside my plot and looking up the 16th and across to the 15th at the bottom of AndyS's garden. The movement on the preparation of the course is very much in evidence. Thanks!

Regards,

John

Picture 5
This is the approach to the pool area shared by blocks 10,11 & 12. Grass is shooting through. Palm trees and plants are landscaped and the paths are in a nice pink cement. The area is dotted with 3 feet high shallow lampposts and there are waste bins there too. The kiddie’s pool had the side water jets playing over the surface.

Picture 6
Overall view of the area. You can see the electricity power plant to the right across the road.

Picture 7
The toilet block. This consists of two separate rooms each with a WC and washbasin. They are tiled from floor to ceiling.

Picture 8
This is the view as you walk back out of the area towards the carpark and mainroad.

Picture 9
The bins have arrived!!
Discovered that there is a communial room in each block on the ground floor. This is for the storage of garden furnature, golf equipment and suitcases etc. It is fully tiled and has running water within.

There are other pictures for Block 10'ers if you send me a PM.

Notice how lots of the palmtrees have been split open to allow the leaves to grow naturally. We had superb weather all week which is supposed to be the worst period of the winter from Jan 7th to the 21st. Except for Wednesday which was cloudy all other days were clear skies and a high of 18-19 degrees. Very cold at night. We had a great time enhanced by meeting up with Sam & Benny, Mike and Diane (Bristol) and Paul & Hayley (Somerset) Regards to you all.

Hi everyone,
We are using this forum for the first time but spent about 2 hours this morning reading through the entire thread.

We have an apartment on Rago 2 Bloque 11 and are hoping to sign in the next couple of weeks, basically as soon as we've decided which mortgage to go for.

We are Steve and Katharine Brown from the North East of England, but resident in Ayamonte since September. We came out here initially to look after a few properties of friends on CE, but have now been given the opportunity to take over a small property management company in Ayamonte.

We are not to sure of the views of regulars regarding advertising on this site so can we apologise now and say that this will be a one off, just to introduce ourselves. Future posts will be purely social. We certainly don't want to upset Sam! We don't really see ourselves as competition as there is clearly enough business for everyone here at the moment.

We share an office with Homes and Fincas, on the river front next to the small petrol station beside the Ferry.

Our web site is www.letandcare.com

We have a special offer at the moment for all CE owners.

Right enough said about us.

For anyone interested in finding a good solicitor, we are using the services of Ana Paola Villamil (A & A Solicitors). She is a very nice and speaks excellent English. She has an office in the Plaza de la Laguna. Her email is [email protected]

Thanks for letting us use this site, good luck to everyone with their new properties.

Regards,

Steve and Katharine.

Hi All,

There is an interesting piece in todays Sunday Times Home Section.

A two page spread on "A Gathering Storm?" concerning Dubai. The problems seem familiar such as late completions, shoddy workmanship, legal problems and most devastating of all no legal title to a property you might buy since the State does not allow foreigners to own freehold property.

I think we may have made the right decision to buy in good old Spain after all.

Regards,

JOHN.

PS. I missed the bit where they forgot to provide the golf course and you will have to go to the next door development to play!!

Please continue your discussion here. [ Hi, this is my first time using the forum. I would like to get in touch with people who bought land in Costa Esuri. I bought one myself. Does anybody know when we are due to complete?

I can't remember who, but someone was after putting together a list of golf courses. I've been looking at the area with a view to a trip out in march to look at the CE development in the hope I can find somewhere to buy.

This might be helpful to start with - addresses, tel numbers etc

Hi folks,
Welcome to the thread to those who have posted for the first time recently!
And, thank you for the photos!
As this thread is getting longer (but I'm not complaining!), it's useful to "search this thread" when looking for info. The thread takes in different information, not just about Costa Esuri, but also about Ayamonte, the provincia, etc. I'm happy with that!
Some local news (La Antilla): www.surinenglish.com/noticias.php?Noticia=7736 I'm guessing this is recent news (January 20 - 26 2006). It may be of interest to surveyors, etc.
Regards,
Carol

Hi Mattmar,

We have also bought a plot at CE Ayamonte and have posted before on the trials and tribulations of plot purchase. We had hoped to complete during our trip 30th Jan - 9th Feb but no hope now of doing that and no info either on when we might be able to. You can search back for other post about "plotters" there are a few of us who post here.

Regards,

John.

Hi John,

A friend, who is also a local developer, (and native spanish from Isla Cristina) told me the reason why Fadesa hasn't pushed for us to complete, is because Fadesa don't have planning permission on the parcela's sold to date.

Kind regards

Hi Mattmar,

I think your friend is both right and wrong. I used a leading firm of London Solicitors who specialise in the Spanish market to act for me when I completed the "Private Contract" and they reported a clean bill of health on all aspects of the approvals. In English terms Fadesa have gained overall approval for the site and the plots but it is the responsibility of each owner to submit for, and gain approval, to his individual plot design.

However to do this you need to submit detailed drawings to the college of architects in Huelva and this is not possible without further information from Fadesa. They need to tell us what the finished levels will be at the front and back of the site, where the corners of the plot will be and finally allow our representative to drill boreholes to determine ground bearing conditions.

So far Fadesa have adamantly refused to give out this information and will not allow my architect to "get" this information for himself. They must have it to even think of starting a development of this magnitude and complexity but they will not allow the information to be used by us.

They have told me this is because they do not want hordes of individual builders on site just when they, the developer, are putting maximum effort and resources into finishing their builds.

So it is manana for us "plotters".

Regards,

John.
