Re: Christmas cards say "no" to going back

Moving anywhere in this economic climate is not a good idea. THe Uk is projected to suffer the worst in the EU economically.

Re: Anyone Worried About England's Finances?

I would be sad if there were no unrest. But I guess it would show how apathetic and spineless the British have become. The destruction of the UK economy has not been from incompetence. It has been...

Re: Anyone Worried About England's Finances?

The IMF cannot afford to bailout all the economies in trouble with its 200 billion dollars worth of reserve. The IMF will have to resort to printing SDR's (what they call paper gold). Inflation...

Re: Exchange Rate at It's Best!

Yeah I guess I was completely incorrect. Even a child could look at a graph of euro-sterling rates over the past 6 months and predict 1 to 1 convergence. Pathetic fools.

Re: Exchange Rate at It's Best!

The exchange rate is absolutely terrible. The British public are being utterly robbed by their stinking thieving politicians. Look at the pound relative to the euro and dollar over the past 4 months....

Re: BBC:"Increasing numbers of violent women in Uk are stretching police resources"

British women are gross. Most of them are ridiculously overweight. The good looking ones have had a bunch of babies and are divorced by 23.

Re: Ever feel like giving up.

The US currency will crash and the US will default on its debt- thats a fact. If you want to move to the UK do it now because the situation will only get worse.

Re: Time to go home soon

Terrible news that you have the cancer. But spending your last days on the face of the earth in the UK is missing a lot of opportunities of being in places much calmer, less expensive and with a less...

Re: Britain is a good place.

The UK is a great place to live if you either want to be sponge off the state or want to support those who sponge off the state. Otherwise its fairly terrible.

Re: mortgages on return to Uk

House prices are dropping and mortgage interest rates are high. You would be insane to buy a house right now.

Re: Anyone Moved Back to the UK and regretted it?

So just because we haven't seen how bad apparently it is in Canada we have no grounds to complain here in the UK? In England there are cameras EVERYWHERE, but for seemingly no apparent reason because...

Re: Taxes in the UK

No, tax is robbery. The government could pay for all of its services with deficit spending because it can make as much money as it likes with the cooperation of BoE. In the UK you pay out a lot and...

Re: Taxes in the UK

People are right to moan about tax, because it is robbery. On an unrelated note, just filled up a small 2 seater car with petrol and I paid $8.61 per gallon.

Re: Anyone Moved Back to the UK and regretted it?

I lived in the USA for 15 years and I left there because I fell out of love with the country. When I move I plan on moving to a European microstate, one with a small government and few tax laws....
