We live in Preston near the winery. Our son is at Middle Ridge State School although he's off on his school trip to Sydney and Canberra at the moment.

My hubby hired a van from Avis with a tail lift (you can do this on a car licence ) - don't think it was too expensive. He went and collected our 4 bikes on his own :eek: It was OK at the docks...

Put 2-3 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda down there followed by a cupful of white vinegar. It will fizz up - leave for a few minutes and then tip a kettle of boiling water down. Works for me :)

That's interesting to hear. I looked into going this route but judging from the stories I've heard about the Admissions Board in QLD (i.e. very unhelpful!) I thought they might oppose the admission...

Have you tried Queensland University of Technology (QUT)? I had my skills assessed by UQ initially but you can't study externally there and the courses are more expensive than at QUT. I have the name...

JAJ is right about instalments - we are paying the tax on my hubby's Forces pension for 2006/2007 by instalments based on his tax bill for 2005/2006. :)

Would probably be a good idea to look at salary packaging - I think in the ADF you'll be able to package a car and maybe additional super contributions? I think the ADF use Smart Salary...
