I would think that the Iberdrola reading is correct. Meter readings are usually 6 digits.
1000kwh for a 2 month period is quite low. You say you are only using 4kwh per day ?? That is extremely low....

Another point. Make sure that you buy your modem from Vodafone Spain. You will be able to buy the same thing in the UK, but it will have a UK sim card in it and you will end up paying...

Read your note about having no interenet.
Are you aware that you can get internet connection via Spanish Vodafone. That's what we did to bridge the gap before we got our Telefonica internet...
