Re: Another meet up?????
Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. We had a lovely day lots of good food, lots to drink and wonderful company but the paperwork didn't come back in time so we are waiting for a phone call from the Town Hall to go and make it official.

Know what you mean Crispy but I can assure you that tonight he behaved himself impecably, maybe because he was on water (yes I did say WATER).
It was a very enjoyable evening, great food and great company. Tony and Carol were wonderful hosts and made sure that everyone had plenty to eat and drink. They even made sure that there was a traditional fruit wedding cake as well.

Glad to hear that you are home safely Mitz
It was really great to meet you and your lovely lady.
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip, and you didn't have to put up with too much rain and freezing cold weather??
I will also post some photos soon(ish!)
My Mum has just arrived, and we've been busy nattering for the past two days!!
Will look forward to hearing all about your trips to Cadiz and Cordoba; and hope to see you at the next meet up!
Take care.
All good wishes to you both, from
Sam.

Hi, it was lovely to meet you Sam
Cadiz was nice, but in Cordoba it pured with rain on Friday all day and we got very wet.
With everything people had said about Cordoba though, I really thought it was quite tacky, loads of touristy shops all around the Cathedral - I really did like Seville out of the three
I did notice down there how much more expensive things seem to be though

It was good to put face to names, Mal and I had a great time, I know I didn't leave off talking (very unusual for me I Know) we plan to go back to Seville in the new year as there was so much we didn't do.
I have been to Cadiz (live on the door step as they say) and to Seville and out of the two Seville is better for things to do and see, Cadiz in comparison a smaller city although steeped in history. Shame about Cordoba, as that is one of the city's I want to go and visit, we have friends that really like it there and rave about it's beauty. As for being more expensive down this neck of the woods I have to agree, I gather from people who live more in land and on the other costa's it is less expensive.

Having said that the Catholic Church ruined the Mesquite long ago by plonking a church in the middle of a most beautiful mosque!

Re: Another meet up?????
Doh, only just found this thread in Siesta time (not sure I could have made it but even as a newby I'd have thought about it...) - for the future, how/where do we find out about meet ups? Not the meet ups thingy? is that the only place or am I probably being ultra dim?

Next one is rumoured to be near Valencia, but probably not until the Spring.

Re: Another meet up?????
I couldn't get to Sevilla cos the kids were at school
the only people I would have asked to 'babysit' escaped to the UK for a month - I reckon they knew I was about to ask them
