Default Costs of NIE etc.

Anyone know the actual cost of getting NIE number, residencia cert etc. Not interested in what people have had to pay to get via gestors etc, but just the actual cost of getting them.

The NIE is free. They used to charge about 7 Euros for the tarjeta. I don't suppose the certificate will be more, if anything less.

I paid €6.50 for NIE in Benidorm (February) and Shergar paid €15.50 for NIE in Benidorm in March.

I had to pay just under 10 euros, 6.80 I think, for NIE but that was a couple of years back. In my experience, almost nothing is "free" from Spanish administration.

In May this year I got my NIE and residencia together, so they gave me one certificate to cover both things, it cost about €6. Tony's was the same.

Mine was free, it seems like if you go in when the coffee and cakes bill comes in, then you pay for that. ;-))

I had to pay a "tax" at the bank for them to issue the NIE certificate although many years ago Hacienda did issue my NIF for free.

It was in Fuengirola a few years ago, I think they were pleased some Brits were trying to be legal. ;-) ;-)
