Would that cover Bricklaying?? I thought working visas covered things like Fruit picking etc..... And you were restricted to the type of jobs that you could do ???

Hi Lois1, South of Perth is lovely, but so is the North, It depends which area you have your heart set on ? Perth (i think) is a city split in two, Your either South of the river and hardly venture...

Depends if you 1st/2nd fix, shop fitter or roofing. How the job situation is at the moment depends on supply and demand. The best bet is to have a look online...But beware things can change quickly...

I'd go for WA but i know a few companies that are laying off people and a few that have folded ! Jobs are a premium at the moment in the building trade.

We moved for the weather and the outdoor life . But i think the main reason is that we wanted to bring our son up so that he had some good opportunities. I think a lot of people who have never been...

Sadly unlike UK you can't just show up and look for a job:blink: Australia are fairly (VERY) strick who they let in. If you have a trade/Service that they require you have a chance ! But otherwise...

You have to ask yourself if you or your partner have a skill that Australia requires ? If yes hopefully you can get a visa that matches your skill. Hope this helps ?

My Wife has just booked with Malaysian Airlines after being told that they allow you 40kg for permanent visa applicants. Sadly she's found out that only Quantas and Singapore do this.
