I've no idea about shipping costs but when I was in Langkawi recently the driver was telling me they are only allowed to drive their cars for 30 days a year on the mainland, else they have to pay tax...

Iphones are not cheaper here - in fact I've looked every where during my travels (UK, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand etc...) and they seem to be the same everywhere. You can get an iphone...

From personal experience it's not that easy! 3 years in and I can still only speak sedikit sedikit... mostly as locals want to practice their English when talking to me so I never get a change to...

Either there were firecrackers going off non-stop last night from 11pm until 2am in JB or the Singapore military were testing their weapons just across the Straights of Johor... Not sure which it was...

I've lived in JB for over 3 years and personally I'm more than happy here... yes it's not as glamorous or clean cut as it's neighbour Singapore, but to me that adds a bit of character to the place....
