We had a long wait after our medical and so I followed it up with a case specific enquiry. I turned out that they had requested further tests as my daughter had protein in her urine at the time.

We have been living about 40 minutes from Halifax on the Eastern Shore for nearly 3 years now. We came from the UK where we had a nice home in a pleasant village with good schools.

UK to Nova Scotia. Best time so far - 4 days, worst 17 days. no rhyme or reason to it, it just varies. Actually, one package never got here at all which is worse than 17 days I guess.

Ours took exactly 4 weeks from the date they were received in London to the day we got them back in Canada. No guarantees though I suppose.

Yes thanks, we have checked. It is from her employers and she is entitled to her maternity pay even if she is not returning to work.

You could hire an rv and have maximum flexibility on moving from place to place. Also this avoids the packing and unpacking.

We tried. We went to Service Canada on 3 separate occasions and they looked into it for us and the consensus was that the kids needed PR before they could have a SIN.
