Be careful, Keira, about flying your pets cargo. There was a 20/20 or Dateline type of show a couple yrs. ago about some pets dying on the way over because of extreme heat and lack of water.

I don't think you can beat Winnetka, but it is a bit pricey. The house used to film Home Alone is in my sister-in-law's neighborhood, but again there are probably more affordable places there to...

You know, we really like South Haven, Michigan. It's about 3.5 hours from Carmel/Indy and very peaceful and not too crowded. We stayed at a B&B there that was fabulous--full breakfast on the veranda...
