I would inform them of the new passport details as the last thing you want is a query or doubt on their behalf. Your passport has to be well in date , so you just carried out procedure.

Yes, I agree with you but they (RTO's) are doing the assessing and thats what my assessor wanted from me. I personally have no faith in self photographic evidence as I beleive anyone taking a photo...
