I'm generally looking for admin work - done it for 19 years - but have also applied to Woolies, coles, kmart etc. I, like you, am willing to do anything that comes my way.

Good luck ,

Lynn xx

God that's tough. It's annoying when you just want to work, but fingers crossed something will come up soon. Best of luck to you too Lynn

Just as a thought, I was speaking to "yodel' telesales staff and two were just in "off the boat" , Yodel is a sub section group of Google. I don't know how you get a job there but its worth doing the research as i think they might be hiring people. Job description-again I don't know....But have a go

Everything else is great. I'm loving life in Sydney in general, but I'm definitely at the stage where i'd love to be working again as I feel it'd help me settle in a bit easier. Saying that, I'm not feeling any homesickness yet, so that's good!

Good to hear there are still people making the move.. it's not a bad auld spot!

Hiya,

I am heading back to Melbourne, actually meeting up with one of the staff from The Corkman Bar tonight

I reckon Janauary would be a good time to head off.

How's life in Melbourne? You do the neighbours tour, St Kilda etc?

Must book medicals today. Do the doctors post the results to Sydney or do they hand them to me to post?

Basically what do I need to do?

Cheers,
Keith

Hiya Keith,
Unless you are going through an agent, the doctors will give you the results to post off yourself. Good luck with that.

We actually don't live too far from where Neighbours is filmed . We love it here and have no regrets.

All the best,
Irish Gal

I got my visa and now need to post the passport to London for my stamp.

I read that Irish stamps are not recognised in the UK so how do I get my passport back?

Any tips?

Cheers.

As far as I can remember we didn't have to pay anything to get them back. Just an addresed envelope. They give instructions when they tell you to send over your passports.
Hope this helps

Hi Shirley, best of luck to you, just a word of warning and you can tell me to go jump LOL as I'm sure I probably would have thought if some one said it to me, no way never happen..... but as soon as you can get your own place, relying on friends for longer than a month could put a huge strain on your friendship.

we came over and stayed with friends my DH best friend, we now are no longer friends or on speaking terms. long story but it was awful. you can do a search and I would say 3 out of 5 will all say the same friendships lost.

I'm sorry I hope I don't annoy you, I just wish some one had of said something to me.

but still good luck and enjoy your self's
