you are completely right, there are several derating factors that can be applied depending on how the cable is installed, but what there looking for is you to show that you know there are factors...

My personal opinion would be to go with the commercial/industrial side of the industry as domestic work is only quite a small part of this industry and so you may find it harder to go from a house...

has the boat sailed? that is a very good question. compared to when we came out three years ago it may have, but then again it had probably sailed for us compared to people that came out 3 years...

I doubt if it will be recognised, basically if it's not an Australian qualification then no body will look at it, and to get it recognised is a pain in the arse or you just have to re-do it once you...

there isnt a licence that would cover you for working in all states, that would be easy. what you would have to do is get a licence from which ever state you went to first and then apply to each...

what they are looking for is that you have the same knowledge and experience as an australian sparks and the way of doing that is by an apprenticeship or experience and other qualifications like you...

yo are quite right hen you say we have 240v leads everywhere as they seem to think that if you stick a RCD on it then everything is wounderfull so dont bring your 110v tools everyone will look at you...

most electrical compaines get there apprentices from agencies, so i wouls start there.

try all trades queensland, electro group and i think another one is east coast apprentices.

dont know how...

Not done it but I do know that QET do a restricted electrical course. Don’t know how much or when there next one is but give them a call on 07 33441274 and speak to Chris. They are based in Brisbane....

it disconnects the start windings that have the capacitor connected acorrs them (windings that is) to create the phase angle so the motor will start. hopeyou understand that, if not give us a shout....
