We arrived on the same day 2 years ago :-) but had already landed in the previous July. The other posters experience is pretty much the same as ours except customs. They did take our list of goods...

We've switched to using Muskol this year and find it more effective than the brand we were using last year (think it was off).

I have to take clarytin all through the summer as I react quite badly...

The place on Robie Street has been recommended to me by someone at work. There spices are apparently cheaper than the supermarkets.

I don't agree with the Municipal government one. I work in Municipal government and I only have PR status. I wouldn't consider my job highly specialised.

Pete's Fruitique sells Creme Fraiche but its about $12 a tub. There was a thread on here about it before and I'm not sure if I read someone adds icing sugar to sour cream????

Also recommend you have a $CAD sub total at the end of each page you print. We read about this somewhere and the customs people seemed pleased we had done this.
