Should I use sour cream?

Sour cream is not the same as creme fraiche. I'm pretty sure we've done this one before, albeit a long time ago. Try searching.

LOL... I agree. They are not equivalent. Is it really impossible to find creme fraiche in Canada, or just difficult? Whole Foods has it in the US, but none of the other supermarkets I've been to have it.

It won't make any difference for a soup .

My custard has not been too good yet.What would you suggest? tried making it with blend cream,never again.

I would suggest buying a tin of custard from the store.

You could buy a pot noodle, instead of making your soup.

It would to me. The mere existence of sour cream is a crime against humanity (not into sour anything, me).

The mere sight of custard makes me vomit. I simply cannot be in its presence.
