Re: Job hunting without degree....

For BUNAC Canada, do you not need to be a college student? I did BUNAC Great Britain and for that you need to be a college student or have attended college very recently (6 months maybe? I forget).

Re: To emigrate or not to!

Before I went to England, I thought that it would be very conservative compared to the US. I was definitely wrong! I was really surprised about how it really was over there. I mean, there's naked...

Re: Vacations in the US

My husband has only been on vacation once in the US- we went to NY and he didn't really like it. A beach would probably be good.
How about beaches on the east coast?

Vacations in the US

Going to England this year is out of the question for us...too expensive! We are looking last minute for somewhere good (and cheap) to go. Where are some good vacation spots?

Re: UK national -> San Fran job

For BUNAC you have to be a student or have recently been a student. I went to England on it and also was allowed to stay for 6 months max., but I don't know if it is the same for the US.

Re: Episode III : Revenge of The Sith

I didn't see many people who were dressed up so I was kind of disappointed! I only saw a few people in robes and some nerds who were jedi fighting for literally nine hours in the parking lot

Re: US school system confusing! Help?

Hmm that's strange. I'm a yank and at my school we started doing languages in 7th grade. I think most schools around here start in 9th grade at the latest. What else did you want to know about?

I-751 Question

We don't have any children, joint leases, utilities, or mortgages. Could this be a problem? We do have joint bank accounts and could probably get affidavits. What other evidence could we use?

Re: Brits in Cranberry, PA

Cool, I am working 12-8 that day.
You might want to get your tickets early, I think it could get a little crazy in there.

There is a Brit who came in a few times with his USC wife and she wears...

Brits in Cranberry, PA

It seems like I see at least one Brit a day in Cranberry. Are they all there because of work visas for the same company?? Why Cranberry? It's one of life's mysteries

Re: Meaningless expresions

I thought it was interesting how English people say "Alright" when they mean hello. At first I would say "Yes, I'm good, how are you?" It took me awhile to figure out that it's not a question :)
