Re: ENS questions from an employer

Thanks Dorothy and George, I am just researching at the moment as to whether it is a viable option to put forward for further consideration so any changes to our policy are likely to be long after...

Re: Need to Rant....... Got a bloody cheek if you ask me

To the OP, I think you need to look at the overall percentage drop you have taken. This 4k is probably not a massive increase on the percentage you have already dropped from your original asking...

Re: Need to Rant....... Got a bloody cheek if you ask me

I don't think that is the best way of making someone feel better about having to lose 10k. They were already paying to live somewhere through their mortgage payments plus an extra 384 quid per month...

Re: Mammograms for ladies in their 30's

Sorry to hear that your wife had to go through this, hope she is doing better now.

What would be classed as high risk? My mum had BC 7 years ago when she was 47, does that make me high risk or...

Re: Shared container - pros and cons?

Vash, I would be interested in what costs you have been quoted for your shared container when you get them in. We have our stuff sitting in storage in the UK at the moment as we left it there rather...

Re: Lonely Planet or Rough Guide?

I always go for rough guides and I have always found them extremely useful. I have borrowed a couple of Lonely Planet guides but find Rough Guides more user friendly and relevant. I think it is a...

Re: House selling in the UK and silly offers

Absolutely right, some people can't see through the wallpaper and carpet to what it could look like. If it has good windows and central heating then just doing a bit of painting and replacing...

Re: House selling in the UK and silly offers

I don't think this is true, we modernised a 3 bed mid terrace in 2004/5 for about 15k including double glazing, central heating, new kitchen, new bathroom, carpeted throughout, repainted throughout,...

Re: House selling in the UK and silly offers

The thing is that if house prices keep on going down, the offers you think are silly now stop looking so silly and start looking desirable.

We put our house on the market in Feb 07 and had a...

Re: Paid Maternity Leave now in Aus...

I don't think it is poor at all, $543 per week for 18 weeks seems pretty good to me. In the UK you get £120 per week admittedly for 39 weeks but actually it works out about the same. For a country...
