In the last 6 months I've had a tooth pulled, a check up, a couple of x-rays and a handful of fillings for the best part of $2000.

Re: Flights to Oz.

Hi Steve,
I flew with Singapore on my own and found them very pleasant (as pleasant as a 20 hour flight can possibly be!).
I then travelled with my Wife and 18 month old Son on JAL and they were...

Re: Driving license?

Apologies for the misinformation, I was just editing my post as you replied.
QLD apparently will let you keep driving upto the 3 allowed months after arrival.
I believe NSW does have a rule such...

Re: Driving license?

PS: You don't lose your UK license, you have it cancelled for use in Australia. They normally do this by hope punching or cutting a notch in the plastic part of your licence.

Re: Inland Revenue form P85 - Help !

Is it as simple as that though, can I trust them to refund the correct amount? Or should I take professional advice regardless?
Thanks,

Re: Visa validation

As your Wife is Australian, couldn't you have registered your son as an Australian Citizen by descent?
He wouldn't need to validate at all then (and would of saved on your Son's medical fee)

Re: Permanent residency for daughter

Isn't that only if the child is born after citizenship is aquired?
If this was the case, why would anyone bother getting medicals done for their children?

Re: Child visa approval

It's Q42 in 47SP that you are referring to but if you read the section on Pg2 about Custody Req's you will see that you don't need to do it if both parents are migrating.
