Re: HiFx recent money transfer anyone?

Re: Chemicals or fillers in NZ Foods?

This is a really interesting. I've noticed that whenever I go back to the UK I lose quite a bit of weight but I have never been able to figure out exactly why. If anything I drink and eat more...

Re: I don't know what to do, thinking out loud - online

I'd say if you are happy in Auckland then stay and rent. I get the impression that you are worried about owning a property because everyone else is saying you should own one. I'd go with what your...

Re: Am i mad?

I don't think you are mad. At 23 yrs the world's your oyster ( or is it lobster!) and as long as you can get back to the UK if things don't work out, you probably haven't got much to lose. Go for...

Re: Shop closures on Good Friday

and don't even get me started on that crazy law that prohibits the sale of alcohol unless you buy food to go with it on public holidays. Forget a trip for a nice Christmas or Easter drink before or...

Re: Make the move? take the risk - honest opinions sought

I think this is one of the most important pieces of advice you will get on this forum - especially if you are planning to live in Auckland!

Re: Living without car in Auckland CBD

Definitely don't need a car if you live in Auckland CBD. You can walk to theatre, cinema, loads of restaurants, Britomart (train station), Viaduct, art gallery, library etc. and save lots of money...

Re: Dentists and dental plans in NZ

Amazes me how they get away with such huge charges. The industry seriously needs someone to come in and start under-cutting the market! I've heard that people go to Aussie because it is cheaper...

Re: Tax advice on my UK property

I agree. It can get pretty complicated. I'm also fairly sure it is 4 years tax free from overseas income in New Zealand not 5 years. Kind of makes the point to seek some good advice I guess.
