Don't know if anyone else is having this problem but our next door neighbors rented out their flat and the tenants haven't paid rent since before summer and refuse to leave. They are also very noisy...

Re: Buying in Costa Esuri

Hi,
Last year at this time we were asking the same questions as you. We bought directly from FADESA- the constructor, and got a deep discount, unbeatable anywhere in the area. The only catch...

Re: Tool Charges on the A22 to Faro

Just back from C. Esuri and I see they have put up a toll sign just over the bridge (in Portuguese). It's covered up but says the 1st toll is in 2km., just past the Montegordo exit. So they may be...

Exclamation Re: Junta de Andalucia

It's a shame so many got caught at the peak of the boom, but the market price should be the base for taxes or value assessment. If you buy now, the prices are even lower than what we paid in...

Junta de Andalucia

It seems the Junta de Andalucia has decided that the homes being sold at discount prices do not reflect the "real price" so they made up their own and are sending back-taxes bills to dozens of new...

Re: Plots

We bought one of the FADESA specials at Las Colinas. The price was unbeatable BUT there is a catch. FADESA will not take responsibility for and damage or problems w the apts. They promised to fix...

Re: Damage to Hire Car

In Spain if there's no other indication one SHOULD yield to the vehicle on the right at crossroads...but that's in theory.

Arrow Re: Las Colinas

Lots of info and comments. We are a U.S.- Spanish family so I don't know where that leaves us on the foreign vs. resident debate. We bought right before the big bank push (mostly BBVA and La Caixa)...

Talking Re: Las Colinas

For example, in our complex 2 local police and a guardia civil have purchased apts. And I've also heard a lot of Portuguese have come. The more the merrier...

Re: Las Colinas

Yes, they are slowly fixing the area up--maybe after the intercommunity payment for July-Sept. is collected they will move faster. It does get quite windy up there--and the mosquitos?

Re: Las Colinas

We're in Bloque 8 and all our neighbors are Spanish. We should be there mid July or so for the summer. Glad to hear your elevator is working. We just got community electricity but all the light...

Re: Internet Access in Costa Esuri

Are there any WiFi hot spots in C. Esuri? If not, does anyone know of an i-net cafe in Ayamonte o Vila Real?

Re: Las Colinas

That's part of the problem (apart from Fadesa). The ground floor residents don't really care about the elevators (understandably), and 1st floor don't want to pay up front. But it seems silly (if...

Just spent the weekend in Las Colinas and things are picking up. Every week one or two new apts. are bought and the good news for us is that the pools finally opened(still no elevators (awaiting...

Re: fadesa

As long as Fadesa pays for it we don't care what it costs! It seems there's some damage to gears or something. So far the heaviest stuff has been delivered (poor guys) by Carrefour but we still lug...

We are currently trying to get "la comunidad" established up in Las Colinas and are hoping to get the building common areas hooked up to electricity, the pool finished and the elevator running. I...

Re: Air Conditioning

On a central air unit filters should be checked and cleaned at least once a year and since for us they're above the bathroom ceiling they're a bit tough to get at. Besides Wilfredo gave us free...

Re: Buying in Costa Esuri

We just bought (May 1, 2011) an apt. in C Esuri after looking for 3 years in most of Andalucia and the Vila Real-Tavira area. And although some apts. in V. Real can compete in price and quality they...
