Buy a plastic (resin) table and those matching green resin garden chairs from Bunnings/Kmart or similar and you can use...

The question is intended to detremine whether you count as non-resident for UK tax purposes - if you were leaving the UK to work abroad for say 6 months then you would continue to be classed as UK...

you need to be resident in Au to apply for a TFN number online - i.e. you need to be physically living there I think.

The 'formalities' are very informal - the customs lady just stamps your passport and... um...that's it - we very all excited and she looked at us as if we were crackers!

We put some funds into the deposit account there and then and this is automatically drip-fed into...

Being one of life's cautious people (apart from throwing it all in to move to the other side of the world...!) I always take insurance.

The original quote was 4.2% of sum insured with GBP100...

Whatever their first figure is though - it is worth calling them and asking if there is anything we can do to get the quote down at all....
