Hi and welcome ,
I have live in ROI since last oct, and yes it cost a lot to live here .
I live in east Cork ,rent where I live runs from 600 to a 1000 a month ,
the cost in Kerry won't be a lot...

You might want to think about Midleton there are alot places ,here to rent and the rent starts at 500 and run up about a 1,000 per month.
And its not to far from where you want to be .

Yes you do need a irish address and poof of it .
when my husband and I moved to Ireland from spain.
All we had was a letter from landlord with our new address on its,thats all it took.

My husband and I lived in the U.A.S for over twenty years,and he never wanted a U.S A passport [ he is the brit and me the yank].
He didn't like living in the U.S.A at all it wasn't england.

I am from the us ,and I live ireland with my husband a U.K. citizen.
We have had no problems living here even getting permanent residency ,
was not that hard as I had no visa when I came here...
