Hi

I live in St Albans and it is very very nice....great schools and shops, getting into London is quick and easy...But very expensive to buy or rent.

A decent house is around 350K or more.

Luckily my kids were happy to move back and settled straight away. They are quite easy going kids and the eldest especially wanted to return so that helped.

We moved back last September and we too were concerned about their spanish.

We were there only for 3 years and their spanish was fluent in that time.

For my eldest aged 12, the school...

I also only had the beams deflectored and not had to change the headlights completely. Thank goodness!

Port Sunlight is a lovely area too...but the Wirral is lovely especially around the Wirral Country Park...Heswall, Bromborough, Caldy, Thurstaston..Irby.

Thanks Mitzyboy..I have done the MOT and got insurance. Going to my local DVLA next week to ask them for the forms and get it re-registered to UK plates and taxed too.

Thanks for the advice...very kind but I have done the crossing and I found the prices OK. Not as expensive as I expected either. You could get beef stew for £5.99 which is quite good.

Your children are at ages where they will be oK at spanish school. Any older then I would be saying Do´t go.

The spanish lessons beforehand will really help your children and yourself.
