Do any of you remember of Be bops?
They were the black canvas ankle length trainer shoe, they had white rubber across the toe and they had a round white basket ball on the side? The sole was about 4mm thick so a wee stone on the ground felt like you stood on the edge of a house brick
Well I have very recently saw them as big daft slippers . . . .
Yes I have bought them!

Wee Willie Harris with his mop of bright red hair, Tommy Steele, Lita Rosa, David Whitfield with his quiff, Frankie Lane, Johnny Ray crying, Eddie Calvert with his trumpet, Winifred Atwell at the piano, dear Bobby Darin and Alma Cogan who left us all too early, Bill Haley and his curl, Dickie Valentine, Ronnie Hilton and his wobbly mouth, Adam Faith, Emille Ford.
I saw all but Haley and Darin at the local theatre. We used to queue up at the stage door for autographs in large crowds and scream if they looked ou of the window!

Granules/Powder in a small flat packet to be mixed with water for a drink or lollies. Used to buy them for 1d or maybe 2d.
Snowballs
Sweet sickly things.
"Cough Sweets" as my gran used to call them. Specifically Fisherman's Friend. Go to the back of the class all those who just thought of the joke.

I was so cool with my Raleigh Chopper must have been back in about 1980-82)
I saw recently that they are back (Retro!)
How I wanted to buy one! I stood gazing like a wee boy at the shop window the other week, OH slapped me on the back of the neck and pulled me up the road, and I thought, wish I had segs I would be sparking all the way home, as she dragged me along!

Can you remember that TV programme where the hero wore a cloak Adam Adamant I think, I bought a cloak and modelled myself for a while on him, what a div I must have been, I also had a lambretta and a parka: paid some visits to quaint seaside town ( Southport, Margate) creating trouble
