Yes I did that too. I remember also being sent to the shops with 2 glass juice (pop to some of you) bottles.
My kids would run away in shame now if I gave them a wee bowl and a juice bottle to the ice cream man, and told them to remember the change!

Dalkieth chippy, the one in Mayfield isnt that good now. Going back for a couple of days so we might even get ice cream from Musselburgh, cant remember the name but its the best ice cream I have ever tasted, very famous.
Also I will be going to the Emigration show in Edinburgh (not with my chippy and juice! dont know who might try to nick it
