Can I just ask the question, when you knew your credit card had been debited with the visa fee, how long after that did you get an acknowledgement or case officer.
Our credit card was debited on 23rd May and I'm desperate (I know we all are) to hear something. Anyone got a time scale they could let me know about please.

I checked credit card on Monday no fee taken. Next morning when I checked emails had acknowledgment. Never checked card again no point.

My situation may be different as mine was being handled by the invalids department,

Wouldnt worry if you have been debited you know they have your app.

Yes, at least I can keep looking at the credit card web site, to keep me going, until acknowledgement arrives.

We had our credit card debited on the 21st may and a pre ack email on the 25th may. The email said we should get ack and file reference no in approx 3weeks time....... Not sure how long after that we will get a CO..

Hope this helps, this waiting is driving me crazy, its already been 10 weeks:curse:

Pretty similar to ours debited on the 21st then Pre-Ack mail a few days later........just in the waiting train right now.

Stick with it guys it will come and it will all be good !!!!!!!!

Yes and as soon as we get the ACK, we will want the CO,and then we will want the VISA!!!!!

We want it now, we hear it everywhere we go at work, at home , in the street, in restaurants etc etc.

Its the one reason we want to leave to go somewhere alot more chilled and laid back

We had our debited on 28th and are still waiting for he pre-ack. Hopefully going to get it in the next few days.

By the way, when you book meds, should you book the chest x-rays first and then take them along to the med. Or do you book the med and x-rays at the same time.

Also, has anyone used Brigstock Clinic in Thornton Heath, Croydon. Just interested to know how thorough they were.

WV, long story about flights, got the dates of 29th, but when booked they'd gone up, so tried 27th, ebookers took card etc, next day when i'd announced AGAIN the date of departure to unhappy rellies, they rang me back and lied saying SA wasnt flying on that date, they'd cancelled flight. BULL. they'd gone up and he was trying to blag me.

Cut a long story short we had to take the 25th which as i said is the boys 2nd b'day and will miss mum and aunts on the 26th!! :curse: Not very happy, but was that or spend around £450 more! decided not worth it and boys wont know, will celebrate the weekend before! Wasnt happy with EBOOKERS. but they were the only agents to still have seats at £2584 inc Insurance for the 6 of us (one way).

Wouldnt book with them again as sales rep was very pushy and wouldnt take no for an answer!!! Ended up shouting at him. :curse:

But hey, we're going to Australia!!!! S-j xxx

you can do them all on the same day, but wont be sent off straight away as willhave to wait for them to come backwith bloods (about a week) then 4-5 days to LCU in Sydney.. you could do them the week before but unless you get bloods done too, would be a waste of time.

Hi, We got pre-ack 4 days after card debited.

Mornin all, got a CO today,but not feeling pleased, feel a bit down to be honest.Parents came for tea last night and looked so sad, said they would have to book themselves a holiday for when we leave as they couldnt bear to be here to say goodbye. I then spent a restless night thinking about what a lovely house we have ,decent jobs lovely friends close family etc etc.And basically "what on earth are we doing?"
sorry for the moan,hopefully I can pull myself out of this,at least the sun is shining today, think I will take kids out and cheer myself up.
