Hi Tracey,
Don't be too down on everything at the moment, I know it's hard for you. This is a great place to come and have a moan and you shouldn't feel bad about it.![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Something happened at school pick up yesterday that seems to have put things into perspective for me. It doesn't matter what you think is going to happen it's the least expected things that will happen.
A friend of mine got out of her car and walked from her car, across a small area of mud to get to the pavement. She slipped on the mud and broke her leg. She's broken her tibia and dislocated her fibula just above the ankle.
So, I've decided I'm not going to worry about the lack of viewers etc, and I'll get to Oz when I get there.

Have been off work ill with tonsillitis and an ear inf. Am now full of cold Am going back to work tomorrow thou as i leave on Friday, and they will all think I am pulling a fast one!!!!
Maybe Easter is the time to sell, I dont know lets just all get some more bloody viewers
Sorry you're still ill - I bet it's the stress.Fingers and toes crossed that this one is the one - just in the nick of time, like Sparkywife.
Bummer - that would have helped the FTB's...GRR
I know what you mean - I want to have everything sorted. We had a really good plan worked out - and now it's all gone to pot because the housesale fell through and the market died a death. I'm still plotting though.![Sneaky](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/sneaky.gif)
Hi Janine, my one cat died of liver failure too. Really horrible. My other cat was 19 and wouldn't have stood the flight but I couldn't have left him....
He had a heart attack in the end poor thing. I don't envy you, you know it is the right decision but it hurts like hell.
My daughter forgave me. I bought her a paint it yourself birdhouse kit to give to her granny and she will be happily splashing paint up the walls tonight... Quite glad I missed the carol service really as it was in Welsh and I'm not a Welsh speaker....![Blink](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/blink.gif)
FANTASTIC!!! re the viewings!! TWO - double whammy. Fingers crossed and ks sent for good luck.![Love](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/wub.gif)
Hi Tracy - try to stay strong for a little longer. The next few weeks may be good for us all.![Love](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/wub.gif)
No news on the meds. 24 hours later and they still say they have left Heathrow but they haven't arrived anywhere. Mind you it took 30 hours to get them from cardiff to Heathrow. I certainly don't rate DHL.![Thumb Down](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbdown.gif)
Good luck Sue, the market has picked up here since Christmas, so it should be moving a bit with you. Hopefully the £10k in an easter market is enough to get people through the door.
Really hope that you can sell soon and not have to split the family up. Stay strong and it WILL happen.
A sends her love to K -she says she will miss her at the meet.![Love](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/wub.gif)

Thanks FA - sounds daft but I'll be glad when we are back, at least we can start to make some decisions... starting to realise I'm a bit of a control freak.... I like thinks in order and to go to plan. It does help having you guys there as a sounding board, you feel less on you own.

Hello all,
We had two cats and we decided after we got he visa that we wouldn't take them with us. They were both old and I know they wouldn't be able to take the flight and then the quarantine.
My eldest cat died last year of a failed liver. I didn't realise how hard it was going to be to say goodbye to them, but that really hit home. I still am going to rehome the other cat as I think it's fairer on her anyway. It will be hard, though.
FA, did your daughter forgive you. Good luck with the new EA and lot's more viewings.
My EA rang this morning and I've got two viewings. HOORAY
One on Friday at 6pm and one on Monday 10am. Fingers crossed.
I'll keep you all posted.

The worst part of my friend falling was that it right outside the school gate, so everyone had to go around her. The paramedic arrived and gave her gas and air for the pain. We walked past her just to hear her screaming in agony. Then I spent the rest of the evening answering questions from my two about it. My dd was most upset asking if her children were going to be ok and who was going to look after them.

I have to say, so far it hasn't been any windier than it is normally. You have to remember that here they tie the 'for sale' boards down with wire as we are on a hill overlooking the sea = windy anyway. My cats were my babies too. My old one, I delivered and had him from birth - he was the most intelligent cat I have ever met. The other one was a stray who he brought home to look after.

Evening everyone.
I am feeling pretty hacked off, my EA has lied to me, I am not the featured house in the paper and we don't even get a one line mention under the new listings.
I rang to complain this afternoon and I can't even get through.![Mad](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
I am really on the war path.
I want to sack them now what are my rights does anyone know.
There is a piece on my contract, which says that if I withdraw the fee is not applicable, but I will be charged advertising, what advertising. It took them a week to put my house in the window and not a sniff of a newspaper listing.
Here was me thinking I was doing alright with them and all the lies and stuff are beginning to dawn on me.
Anyone got any info that would help me sack them we are tied into an 8 week contract under a sole agency.
Thanks
kaye
I am feeling pretty hacked off, my EA has lied to me, I am not the featured house in the paper and we don't even get a one line mention under the new listings.
I rang to complain this afternoon and I can't even get through.

There is no 'law' as such, it is all governed by the contract. You may be able to take the property off the market, but if you go with another agent, the first agent may decide to claim their fee. (B'stard) We had probs last year with an agent like this.
HOWEVER if they have contravined the sale of goods act, ie not done what they said they would, you could report them to trading standards - or threaten to. Are they a member of the EA's governing body????
Sorry I can't be of more help - go through the contract carefully and see if you can find any loop holes.
