A friend of mine got out of her car and walked from her car, across a small area of mud to get to the pavement. She slipped on the mud and broke her leg. She's broken her tibia and dislocated her fibula just above the ankle.

So, I've decided I'm not going to worry about the lack of viewers etc, and I'll get to Oz when I get there.

I know what you mean - I want to have everything sorted. We had a really good plan worked out - and now it's all gone to pot because the housesale fell through and the market died a death. I'm still plotting though.

FA, did your daughter forgive you. Good luck with the new EA and lot's more viewings.

My EA rang this morning and I've got two viewings. HOORAY
One on Friday at 6pm and one on Monday 10am. Fingers crossed.

I'll keep you all posted.

Hi Janine, my one cat died of liver failure too. Really horrible. My other cat was 19 and wouldn't have stood the flight but I couldn't have left him.... He had a heart attack in the end poor thing. I don't envy you, you know it is the right decision but it hurts like hell.

My daughter forgave me. I bought her a paint it yourself birdhouse kit to give to her granny and she will be happily splashing paint up the walls tonight... Quite glad I missed the carol service really as it was in Welsh and I'm not a Welsh speaker....

FANTASTIC!!! re the viewings!! TWO - double whammy. Fingers crossed and ks sent for good luck.

Hi Tracy - try to stay strong for a little longer. The next few weeks may be good for us all.

No news on the meds. 24 hours later and they still say they have left Heathrow but they haven't arrived anywhere. Mind you it took 30 hours to get them from cardiff to Heathrow. I certainly don't rate DHL.

Good luck Sue, the market has picked up here since Christmas, so it should be moving a bit with you. Hopefully the £10k in an easter market is enough to get people through the door.

Really hope that you can sell soon and not have to split the family up. Stay strong and it WILL happen.

I have to say, so far it hasn't been any windier than it is normally. You have to remember that here they tie the 'for sale' boards down with wire as we are on a hill overlooking the sea = windy anyway. I guess anything not nailed down, blew away years ago...

Sorry you're having a bad day - they're a killer. There is only so much you can take before you feel like crap, so don't worry about it. Feeling crap is normal for us house sellers...

Sending some Ks to cheer you up.

They were my babies until I had my babies (if you catch my drift). It will be very hard.

Good on her My daughter's into writing at the moment. I bought her a High School Musical journal at the weekend and she hasn't stopped writing in it. She calls it her "thoughts book" and noone is allowed to look.

FANTASTIC!!! re the viewings!! TWO - double whammy. Fingers crossed and ks sent for good luck.

Absolutely agree with you there.

The worst part of my friend falling was that it right outside the school gate, so everyone had to go around her. The paramedic arrived and gave her gas and air for the pain. We walked past her just to hear her screaming in agony. Then I spent the rest of the evening answering questions from my two about it. My dd was most upset asking if her children were going to be ok and who was going to look after them.

Poor thing. How horrible. I hope your DD wasn't too worried and your friend isn't in pain any more.

My cats were my babies too. My old one, I delivered and had him from birth - he was the most intelligent cat I have ever met. The other one was a stray who he brought home to look after. She was a starving kitten and he must have taken pity on her. Although he used to give her a good battering if she got above her station. The stray died of liver failure - or rather we had her put to sleep before she had a horrible death. the vet reckoned she was very lucky to live as long as she did as she was so severely malnoursihed when we got her that all her organs were liable to pack up early.

Fingers crossed for the viewings - yay!

Evening everyone.

I am feeling pretty hacked off, my EA has lied to me, I am not the featured house in the paper and we don't even get a one line mention under the new listings.

I rang to complain this afternoon and I can't even get through.

I am really on the war path.

I want to sack them now what are my rights does anyone know.

There is a piece on my contract, which says that if I withdraw the fee is not applicable, but I will be charged advertising, what advertising. It took them a week to put my house in the window and not a sniff of a newspaper listing.

Here was me thinking I was doing alright with them and all the lies and stuff are beginning to dawn on me.

Anyone got any info that would help me sack them we are tied into an 8 week contract under a sole agency.

Thanks

kaye

Ah, those lies, damn lies and estate agents...:curse:

There is no 'law' as such, it is all governed by the contract. You may be able to take the property off the market, but if you go with another agent, the first agent may decide to claim their fee. (B'stard) We had probs last year with an agent like this.

HOWEVER if they have contravined the sale of goods act, ie not done what they said they would, you could report them to trading standards - or threaten to. Are they a member of the EA's governing body????

Sorry I can't be of more help - go through the contract carefully and see if you can find any loop holes.
