Apparently the 3g dongles do work in oz, as they have 3g there. Not sure if you can payg there but you can do online top ups anyway. But if not you can always sell it again on ebay. I tried mine and it worked fine same signal as mobile, probly work better in towns that out in sticks. Plus you can take your laptop anywhere and get internet! yay!
Hubby tried it for his online gaming (world of warcraft) and it works fine too so far not much lag. For £100 i think its cheaper than getting a new broadband connection as even ones on monthly contracts and no tie ins you need to pay for the equipment and we'd have to put in mother in laws name. Not looking forward to not having much privacy but its a shortt term thing.
Fly away we applied in august so visa could be here any time. Been offered one job in adelaide and another looks promising had email today to say they were impressed with me and are in discussions but now not sure what i want lol

My new pics from EA are up and running, will need to add them to the classifieds, not sure what the point is though now don't think I will hear anything through that.
Have finished my leaflets and i'm going to go out tonight to all the flats in the area that have been sold and put one through the letter box.
Worth a shot I hope.

It's a horrible feeling when you don't know when you'll sell or if you'll be trapped here.. Hold on tight hun and you will get an offer. It's a lovely house - cheap price, somebody will find it and fall in love.
Leaflet shot is well worth it!

Things are good, had a terrible spat of homesickness and wanted my old house and life back 
then went and sat at the beach after getting some groceries and thought what are you thinking. Renting isn't all that but don't want to buy yet. On the whole life is better and more relaxed.

Going to Adelaide, hoping for June, but that is dependant on visa, we applied August with 30,000 other people so stuck in the horrendous backlog.:curse:

Summer is over and it is cooler but with temps still 29c in the day and 23c at night it still feels really warm to me but Aussie's are already wearing cardies, I kid you not.
I wish I had got rid of loads of stuff, now I am going to have to have a garage sale
Adalaide has had an awful heat wave for weeks now, hope Tiggs is coping OK.
Prices not dropping as quickly as Uk but more and more houses are for sale.
Thinking of putting our stuff into storage next Jan 09 and getting a campervan and taking 6 months to do some touring of Oz
I wish I had got rid of loads of stuff, now I am going to have to have a garage sale
Adalaide has had an awful heat wave for weeks now, hope Tiggs is coping OK.

Just checked and mone are still at Heathrow too. Although it could just be that they haven't updated the system yet. they could be midair and the first we know about it is when they land at Singers or Sydney.
The campervan sounds like a great idea!! Put your money in the lovely high interest accounts that must be available and wait for a property crash.
(I've just described what everyone in the UK is doing....)
