Stop embarrassing yourself. Do you have some uncontrollable compulsion to look like a child?

Me

I almost exclusively use my landline for calls, and I do talk to pollsters. Have had an annoyingly large number this year, but most have been local.

You have a lot of ideas swirling around in your head, but they are contradictory. Either you have an issue with immigration or you don't. It seems that you don't dislike immigration per se, but that you dislike immigrants who don't look like you.
I like and welcome immigrants of any color or culture who come here the legal way just as I did and as my sister and her family did.

I live in a part of the US which is probably racially and culturally the most diverse to be found anywhere. Ive lived here for over forty years, that should tell you I'm quite happy and content with the environment. My daughter also happens to be married to an American whose grandparents came from Mexico

Imagine you are really, really hungry, and your favorite healthy, high-quality deli is closed (and your fridge is bare). The only places open are KFC and Subway Sandwich. You are trying to eat healthy. Do you starve because neither option is ideal? Or do you go to Subway because you know you can at least get something that is marginally healthy?

Donald Trump is unfit. Knowing that doesn't make me partisan. It makes me a person with properly functioning eyes and ears. Hillary is imminently more qualified and more stable than Trump. My opinions are based on my observations and YMMV. Abstaining is also a choice.
Exactly.

Hmmm... the colonel vs. Jared Fogle.

Maybe not the best analogy?

I came here legally and it was a tedious, expensive process. Mexican laborers don't have that option. Anyone who is willing to face the many risks and hurdles of coming here illegally as a laborer deserves to be here, in my opinion. There's no equivalency here.

I agree. Most of them risked their very lives to cross that border. Many others still do. Significant sacrifice for the sake of their children in many cases. The majority of people who went through the costly and lenghy process of coming legally...did not suffer such risk to life and were quite able to live a decent life where they were while they went through the process. Until they have walked in the shoes of those who took such risks...don't judge so harshly. For the sake of my children, in their circumstance, I would have done the same.

Is this as big as I think / hope it is?

FBI Director Comey says agency stands by decision to not pursue case against Clinton - POLITICO

Basically, nothing to see here, folks ... move along ...

FBI Director James Comey told lawmakers on Sunday that after reviewing additional evidence, the agency has not changed its conclusion that there is not a case to bring against Hillary Clinton for how she handled classified materials through her private email server.

“Since my letter, the FBI investigative team has been working around the clock to process and review a large volume of emails from a device obtained in connection with an unrelated criminal investigation,” Comey said in the letter. “During that process we reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State. Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton. I am very grateful to the professionals at the FBI for doing an extraordinary amount of high-quality work in a short period of time.”

Well that is good news. Now only if he had kept his yap shut 11 days ago considering the unjustified damage has already been done.

Well, maybe it spurred the democratic machine to try harder.

Will be interesting to see how Trump shamelessly walks back his recent praise of the FBI ..

Whomever wins the election...Comey will likely be history. The only FBI Director no one dared fire was J Edgar Hoover who had so many damaging files on everyone. It took the grim reaper to fire him.
