Yeah...for the novelty value. It would more likely set you back than advance you.

I totaly agree it the wrong approach but when all else fails and its like talking to a bull.At least it may get you in the lime light and possibly open a can of worms in terms of fraud.deseption.lies.incompetance.and fiddles.and who knows they may just get things moving to shut you up.

No offence Betris. But really, it does get hard sometimes to understand what you write. This isn't teenage text messaging. Typos I can understand but your posts go way beyond that. The space bar doesn't require a mountain of effort, neither does the auxilliary verb third person "To Be". And using your mobile phone to post is no excuse.
And if you actually read back through my posts regarding this issue I've tried to be as helpful as possible, using contacts that I have to pass on info. Why "shut up" a helping hand?

Hi can't argue with you on Betris spelling, but if this was put about on one of the big Spanish nationals more might be done?.
There are families on esuri without electricity, not just tourists, its the major English holidays and in August the Spanish will be flocking to esuri,do they know the power is down?.

Rightly or wrongly people have completed without electric connected but that does not mean its ok to leave it that way?.

Fort and Betris,

Fort, fully support your line. Please continue to keep digging for the real truth down there.

I also agree from what I have seen of the way business is conducted that a bull in a china shop approach is more likely to achieve the opposite to what is needed, which is cold, level headed discussion and negotiation using good and independant lawyers.

The result of those people who I said were getting on to Endesa did not bring up the best of responses so they are visiting the Huelva office today. They did however find the price of generators which don't seem too bad.

"Just been on to a company in Huelva to find out about generators.
A generator to run an average three bedroom house with the the normal appliances (washing machine, oven, hob, dishwasher, a/c plus small appliances)would cost between 900 - 1000 euros to buy.
I was informed that if you were going to run it for more that three months it is more economical to buy rather that rent."

Just a thought, what is the position of owners if their renters turn up and eg have no electricity. If I was renting I would be mad and possibly consider legal action against the owner. A refund of the rental doesnt begin to cover the costs (airfare, car hire, loss of holiday etc etc)

Is there an owners insurance that protects us if renters take action, please? Not just electricity - but other contingencies?

Thanks
Jon

I imagine that type of insurance would exist - you can insure just about anything thesedays if you pay! I'll see if I can find out.

Thanks Jon

I suppose renters should also seek legal advice on the contracts they draw up with the renters, and make sure that it works seamlessly with the insurance policy (if available) and its inevitable small print!
Thanks

Have you thought of the noise these generaters make, even the silent ones.

Insurance:
Mixed response really. I phoned one person with experience of this and he says that he doesn't think it exists. He enquired about something not too dissimilar last year and got a negative response.
I phoned a local insurance company who sounded a bit bemused by the request, didn't know if it did exist but would try and find out. To be honest she didn't sound very promising.

Electric:
Just been told the generators will be maintained for the next month until a longer term solution can be found.
