Either post here or PM.
Can you ask the mayor why the council issued a habitation certificate for large areas of CE when there was no permanent power supply.

Is the mayor aware that this has presented major health and saftey issues..people trapped in lifts when power goes off etc.

Does he consider that the council is in anyway obligated to ensure power in view that they issued a certficate for permenant power when non existed.

Is he open to the council being sued for negligence from people effected at CE

OFF TOPIC ALERT OFF TOPIC ALERT.......

And this isn't anything to do with Spain, but I'm still in Sarajevo.

Completely off topic but the city has gone mad in celebration.

Horns bibbing. Guns being fired into the air. Not sure I've encountered anything like it.

I'm a few streets away but can hear it clearly. Would love to go and see what it's really like but don't feel I can since the war and the criminals related to it are nothing to do with me. I'd feel like an imposter.

Anyhow I needed to tell someone and t'interweb seemed to be the only place (girlfriend in bed, me up by myself, not many friends in this city etc. etc.)

Karadzic played a big part in the ethnic cleansing over here. Kind of keeps our issues in perspective eh?

Took them a long while to realize Spain had won the European cup.

Since they've got them in the qualifiers, I reckon they've just realised Alonso, Puyol, Villa, Torres et al will be playing here soon.

Imagine how they'd be if they'd drawn England?

I am being given the runaround a bit by them. Rumours - don't you just love 'em - seem to suggest that the council may be wanting to distance themselves from Fadesa as each day passes despite aligning themselves with the company last week.

What I can tell you is that there are people on the case on behalf of people at Esuri this very morning with a "showdown" at Endesa's office. Should have something to report back by end of day.

Dear owners,

We have had a meeting with Martinsa-Fadesa in order to analyse the problem with the electric supply. Current situation: yesterday the generator had no fuel and there is a possibility that Gam Co., the generator supplier, may remove it.
In the afternoon we have been trying to find solutions and finally we got more fuel. We have spoken to Gam Co. in order to make them maintain the generator in Las Encinas. On the other hand, we are trying to get the electric installation finished. We believe we can have it done.

In spite of all our efforts, we would like to inform you on the existing possibility that the generator be removed and therefore we will have no electricity.

I also asked the direct question of ""is Rago 1 generator currently working" and they replied...

Dear John,

At this moment, and according the email that we just send, yes, the generator is working.

Keeping at your disposal, I remain,

Lurdes Pires

Let's hope it stays that way..!!!

Yes, I saw the same e-mail. I have sent a PM to Yvonne to see if this is true or not?

My sister is at our Rago 1 apartment and she initially told me yesterday that she'd heard this generator had also blown up!!!! BUT, DON'T PANIC!!! This was incorrect and I think it must have ran out of diesel.

They seemed to be without power for most of yesterday. Around 8pm UK time last night she confirmed they had electricity! They definitely had power this morning but I can not confirm if this is still the case.....

THE ORACLE

I've had a few enquiries as to when it is coming out. The owners of the paper and myself believe it is important for us to have as much information regarding the situation in Costa Esuri as possible. We wish to be able to clarify as many of the points as possible so as reassure those who are caught up in this unfortunate situation. I personally feel we wouldn't be doing the readers justice if we went ahead and published with only the sparce information out there - which in turn could lead to a further fanning of the flames and unsubstatiated rumours. Bear with us as we believe we will have comprehensive coverage complete in the next few days.

Thanks.

Thank you. Would you please ask Gam Co. much it costs to keep the generator there with fuel for one more month? If the cost is reasonable you could e-mail Rago 1 owners and ask if they are prepared to pay.

Also, do you know when Endesa will connect the permanent electricity supply? Muchas gracias.

Regards
Fred Rix

Dear Fred,

According the latest news and until new order, the question of electricity it's solved for now. The cost of the generator will be very high. +/- € 3.000,00 / per month for rental and +/- € 9.000,00 / per month for fuel. Amounts we can not assume considering the few owners we have.

Spite we can't confirm, we've been informed that during next week will be ready. But I repeat, it's a non confirmed information.

Keeping at your disposal, I remain,

Lurdes Pires

I find it hard to believe that Fadesa paid out ~€144k in the last 12 months for Rago1 generator hire, rather than sorting out the permanent supply issue with Endesa!!
