Comming fom liverpool I have plenty of experiance of this as you have to secure every thing from supergluing the front door mat to welding your wheel nuts on.

Sevilla airport to Santa Justa train station by airport bus yes. Santa Justa train station has cercana trains to Huelva at least. 3 a day according to renfe web site www.renfe.es

Damas do a bus from Sevilla to Ayamonte according to http://www.sevillaweb.info/transport...rovincial.html but I guess you have to get to the Plaza de Armas bus station which is not served by the airport bus. You may need to take a taxi from Sevilla airport to Plaza de Armas bus station (around 25 euros) or take the airport bus to the Santa Justa train station then a taxi to Plaza de Armas bus station (around 10 euros).

There's a shuttle service. If you are only staying in Seville then use that. If you are moving on, as El Capitan presumes, then hire a car. Forget the train and Damas bus service. Simply not worth it.

You can do it but I don't think the direct coach is operating yet. The Huelva tourist board started a direct coach service from Faro about 2 years ago and said they would follow up with one from Sevilla. The Faro one is great designed to call at all the tourist areas from Faro to Punta Umbria and somebody posted here that they had just got on the bus and asked to be dropped at CE the driver asked where that was and dropped them at the Golf Club car park! First off the bus.

What you can do is catch the bus to downtown Sevilla then a bus straight to Ayamonte and a taxi from the bus station to CE. Or you could use the train as far as Huelva and then bus to Ayamonte. There are also private minibus services and the companies have been posted on here before if you do a search. Lastly there are taxis but they don't come cheap.

Accepted Fort, I was wondering where you were coming from

I has assumed that someone asking for info on public transport was not wanting to hire a car. I had also assumed the question was to get to Ayamonte not Esuri but that is a different matter.

I took a look through the window on Sunday and could observe at the very back what looked like an oven for cooking 'bake-off' bread. Close to this were display baskets that bread would be put into. My guess is that this will be a convenience store as all the display counters on site were assembled and are designed for that purpose. The interior was decorated and clean and appeared ready for stocking goods.

Hot fresh baked bread, butter and Sevilla marmalade at 7am on a bright sunny morning what better way to start the day?

p.s. sailed right up to Huelva town a few days ago, there was an Irish yacht anchored up just across from the Columbus statue escaping the winds. He was rather unimpressed with the lack of facilities at Huelva for visiting yachts.

Hi

Heres an update on CE.

Fadesa staff have been told to stay at home, the shed and after sales office is still up an running. Although how long we dont know

I went to the lawyers Pelayo et al this morning and they are preparing a letter to customers that havent completed. They were cut off the last few days so the phone was down, its OK now.

Carol you should have a bank g'tee, we insisted on one before signing and they were in place, ask your lawyer about this.. but I suspect getting your money back would be VERY difficult. There is an argument that says you will get back a profit as the Euro has strengthened... whereas property values will have fallen. But how one can get the bank g'tee opened up in a breach of contract situation will be extremely tricky I think. (but Im no expert here at all - just gut feel, which also says that this could take a LONG time to resolve) Fadesa already owe money to these banks big time.

The shopping centre deal is 1sr year free, 2nd year 50% rent and year 3 75% rent to pay. Sounds good... dont know what happens now with the Fadesa news.

Fadesa told me that the permissions were all in for the Marina, but under the current situation there is no way that they would consider moving forward. I also had drinks with a friend on the Ayamonte Marina on his boat and he tells me that fuel prices are crazy, what it costs to run his 400hp diesels is amazing. I wonder if this will have an impact on the boating industry ergo the Marina. I am not expecting it.

Fadesa also told me that Eroski will definately take over the shopping centre slot. I got a lot of good sounding news that day from them, and I wonder if they have been told by their bosses to put on a 'good face'. The person that told me is very good and honest but may have 'instructions' to follow. (For example I was also told that 85% of the PA village was sold - but just loking at the debtors list - theres far too much Fadesa there)....

Also good news from them is that the hotel was signed off, the new buyers (they didnt know who) want to make some design changes and plan to open summer next year. Hmmmm another piece of good news... hope its true!

Big deals to be had here now, not just Fadesa.... theres a duplex going here with a 20% price drop from a distressed sale.... also I went into one of the sales offices and they were anxious to let me know that I could negotiate a good deal and also even negotiate sales payment terms (dates, staged payments %ages etc). I wouldnt hesitate, personally at going in at 20% below price. But a firm condition is that there is a bank g'tee.

Having a brilliant time here, met so many good people from the forum and theres so much to do.... we had a good day out and found the 'prettiest' little village we've seen here (so far) just 20 mins away. Cacela Velha. Just take 2nd exit from m-way towards Monte Gordo. At the main 125 road right to Tavira and after 10 mins on your left you'll see the brown sign. From there great views of the formosa nat park, 2 restos there and a bar. As you leave turn left to Fabrica.... wonderful beach and great resto there. A small boat ferries people to the island nearby. We had low tide after lunch and could walk there, wading across pools and a river etc. So far for us its the best beach we have been on in the 'CE catchment area' and all within 20-25 mins.

We have to brave these hard times with Fadesa, if that commercial centre and hotel can finish then it can only get better from where we are today - and today we are having a blast!

Anyway just a quick update from the coal face....

Regards
Jon

It is awful!!!! Which is why sailor tend to come along the coast a bit. The marina at Rompido is great, but expansive, whereas the the marina in Isla Cristina is cheaper but mobbed (tells a story, dunnit?? )

Another article today, which seems to be taken from El Mundo :

http://www.typicallyspanish.com/news...le_17433.shtml

Bit of a kicker for Manuel Jove if Martinsa do attempt to pull out of the purchase of Fadesa under the Ley Concursal - especially as it is their loan to purchase the company that has crippled them in interest!

I know what my answer would be if I had to re-purchase the company back 2 years down the line..

Aye, the marina at Rompido is one of our favourite weekends, just the entrance bar to slide over to get in and out again.
