I recognise that awning, you must be M7 and our neighbours. Are you living there? We are coming over tomorrow so if you're not about Jon & Katherine will be able to get a look from our balcony. Hope we can meet.

Kim
We are also neighbours in M7 (in E13) - although we only make it over quarterly at the moment.

Shares in Fadesa have been suspended on the stock exchange this morning after another fall in their price.

I contacted my Spanish solicitor today, and he confirm what others said yesterday "If you own the land or property its not a problem" and also says it will not affect the electricity supply whenever it arrives!!

Thats all I've got but if the shares have been suspended all coms are probably shut down as there is no body to pay the bills.

Dantill will become famous soon enough

Have been looking on Reuters and it appears that at 4.29pm today Martinsa Fadesa filed for Administration.

As we had paid 50% on our plot and were waiting for electricity to complete does anybody know what our position will be?

Looks like some sleepless nights ahead.

Did you have a bank guarantee with the builder?

Hi Dave,

There are so many variables that you need answers to before you decide on your best course. Do you have and have you seen a bank guarantee thats your fallback position. If you don't and you still want to build the house you may able to complete and put yourself in a similar position to me, viable plot no electricity. It will arrive someday but until then there will be no Fadesa provided generator and diesel so the design might have to be modified to use re-newables. Who knows you may be able to buy the plot cheaper from the administrator but you might also loose the deposit and just be a creditor well down the list.

You have my absolute sympathy but we are all in this together to a greater or lessor extent and we should share real "hard" info so that we are as smart as the people who will take over the running of the company.

Regards, :curse:

John.
