"Today I went to the Town Hall to talk to the "jefe de obras" who deals with public services in the town and he told me the same as Vicente from Fadesa last week, that it is, "a question of days" (it was supposed to be connected last week).

All the lines are ready for the connection, the problem is that, of all the new electrics lines for Costa Esuri, only two are connected at present, but the amount of watts (something like 66,000 if that is possible) for the connection of all the other lines requires the gas plant to be turned off as a safety precaution so, the problem is the agreement of a date between Sevillana Endesa and the gas company for this to happen."

It ought to be soon since as the summer arrives more people will be over in Esuri and it will be more difficult for the gas to be turned off. All the bits of information now seem to tie together and with an important title like that it must be true.

I will put the champagne on ice!

Regards,

John.

Great news John. What a relief for you, will keep everything crossed and raise our glasses! You have been extremely patient with it all.

Only just received a reply from our solicitor today and he is going to check this week to see if electricity is on our plot.

North east for 'getting above your station'. Could it be referring to Newcastle station and mushy peas?

Try this. Always better to have a debtor than a bad debt.

Hi there,

Surely they are kidding about the toll! Too much of a coincidence to be talked abut on April 1st. Irrespective there was someone who said you can get a 6 monthly ticket for twenty five euro (approx)

Hi Marisol,

When I first read it I was fooled! I'm a bit gulible like that - glad there's only one April 1st.

Grahams post 1098 is the best explanation though still difficult to understand. You gain a little knowledge then behave as though you have a lot of knowledge. It is often said as a gentle way of saying do not get ahead of yourself but your English understanding is coming along just fine.

We were out last week and saw nothing on the bridge and I STILL believed it.

No fool like an old fool eh?

Well done Graham, even if you did succeed in raising my blood pressure by a few notches!
