37000 thats a long way! We were out 4th - 6th March and from memory yours did not have much if any scaffolding and looked externally complete but the externals were not sorted and I did not see inside. I think you are one of the lucky ones the plot on the uphill side of the entrance to your cul de sac has really progressed and my builder went across last week to ask about electricity and was told yes that one was connected. So I would assume that you are able to connect to the mains as well. We are out 15th - 30th May so we will wave across the fairway to you!

I have ben musing on this electricity conundrum and have had a startling revelation. The street lighting seems to be on everywhere when I was out in December at about 5.30 the lights in front of our plot came on each day and looking out over the site they also came on except odd lengths where there might have been a fault.

So if the street lights come on why can I (we) not have electricity in the house?

Hi Ray - Pauline

From your description your villa is opposite our kitchen window and externally is nearing completion. All the roof tiles are on. Our daughter was very amused during the recent (heavy) rain to see the builders climbing up the scaffolding with their umbrellas up!! Having said that they start work at 8.30 every morning rain or shine.

Oh my goodness. Its pointless arguing with someone with such poor financial knowledge. So from this point onwards you are on your own. I refuse to debate any more . Of course if you want to sell your asset to me for 50% then let me know - because obviously it will save you money if you are right - but if you are wrong then it will make me money. Your call.

Anyway on a positive note I was out there last week. I counted over 100 cars of workers working on site.

Don't particularly like your tone. You have absolutely no idea as to my background and knowledge of these types of matters.

All I will add is that the current financial climate for lenders and borrowers is due to the credit crunch and value of assets being borrowed against being of uncertain value and a value that cannot readiliy be realised and converted to cash.

As regards my selling...what do you mean? Are you telling me I have a cash crisis?

Why do we not "politely" just agree to disagree rather than all this I know more than you stuff?
