P.S. Have a look at Ragomuffin's ASDA thread! (is it true?)
I don't dare to say anything else, at least to-day

If it were true and the date wasnt 1-4 it might be even more expensive than the Keep-the-English-out-of Wales Bridge. Are those flying penguins going under the bridge at the same time I wonder, along with a few flying pigs and a Stilton Cheese Moon as a backdrop? Nice one Graham!

Yeah, we like Noosh, very good. The owner,if I recall correctly, said he was from Iraq and had bought a plot ( or 2 ? ) opposite our house. There were identical twin girls serving us there once and we were so confused until we saw them together and twigged. DOH !!!

Glad you are enjoying your stay in CE.

John&Kath posted recently on the current problems being faced by some Fadesa buyers and plot owners, which I feel has helped me to understand a bit of what they might be worrying about. In a perfect world, these things would not be sent to worry us.
An "upbeat" post is good news, listen & learn from it, & celebrate it.
A "downbeat" post is not necessarily "bad" news; it's shared and lessons can be learned from it, too.
(That's the roller-coaster ride effect referred to by derek and margaret, I think.)
Is ridicule of either type of post beneficial? No, IMO.
Should censorship of positive or negative posts be allowed? No. You'd have a blank page.

Now, what's this latest chismis regarding Chris? I'm guessing something to do with futbol?

Regards,
Carol
Got to spread my karma but can still gives you a thumbs up for a those wise words

Thanks Mel and Carol.

So glad you eventually rumbled the funny side. It has taken me three attempts to hook you. Remember last year the moles burrowing on Golf1 and the year before the Ayamonte parking meters and attendants?

Beware APRIL 1st 2009

I thought the parking meters was the best yet although I knew there was a proposal about 2yrs ago to do just as you describe for real. We were out 4 weeks ago and there was no sign of preparation so I knew it was a cod.

Hi All,

Just thought I would give this one a bump. From the roaring silence its looks as though Fadesa scrapped home this time and sorted the loans although I have not seen anything to confirm that.

So that is good news!! All we have to moan about is the lack of electricity to the plots and RAGO 1 and RVA 1 anybody have any good news on that front? Lets make a good news week after the 1/4 fun.

Regards,

John.

they may not have parking meters in Ayamonte but they do have official traffic wardens now. No kidding! I got issued a ticket at the end of February for parking out of hours. Sandra's mum was with us and we were displaying the EU disabled parking permit quite legitamately. Our Portuguese rental was parked next to the disabled space that was already occupied by an electricians van. When I took the ticket to the local police near the football stadium with this picture they accepted the explanation, tore up the ticket and admitted that they don't prosecute Portuguese rentals. However, had we been there when the ticked was written we may have been subject to an on the spot fine. €90 Cod---------very fishy I thought.

No, there was not a ticket on the electricians windscreen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should have seen it yesterday, two policemen pulled up on motorbikes and they all got tickets I think that if you park in the disabled parking space it should be tripled. They also got them outside the Caixa bank. With them( Guardia Civil) building a new headquarters in Ayamonte it looks like they got a nice deposit yesterday.
