Quite a few seem to use Economy but I have compared their prices with Zitauto and Zit are much more reasonable priced. I have just spoken to them (Dove House Travel 0121 705 7425) and you can travel in Spain and Portugal at no extra cost. If you put a compass point in Faro and the other point in Sevilla that is the extent of the "circle" you can travel to in both countries. We are booking two cars and all driver can drive either car at no extra cost. also pay in sterling with a CC in advance. All sounds good but no-one seems to recommend them...am I missing something ?

Hi Mel/John,we have used Zit for last 2 yrs coming out to CE,they have always been excellent. We e-mail Zit a few weeks before and get quotes to include full comp ins with CDW waiver ,entry into Spain ,extra drivers.

We are out for 12 days next tues and for a group H car (corsa, with a/c we are paying 195euros

We are out in Oct for 2 weeks and are paying 280euros. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. I had done my own translation, but with my spanish skills it needs translating again. These are great.

Cheers, John

Hola Mel,
ah, so there is a tech department? Just to make things that bit more technical, I think the rep speaks Portuguese only (yeah, that'll be right...) So, perhaps there will be more shoulder shrugging, and head scratching.
Remember, Mel, you are now no longer the "pupil", but the "head of the department", and Grace's planning timetable has fallen short of your expectations! Go get your window!
Yep, I will go for it.....and then if it all goes wrong I will snitch on you and we shall both be in detention !!

As far as I can determine to get UK channels on Esuri you will have to be connected to a satellite dish on the roof and will need a satellite digibox to get the channels but the good bit is with the new BBC/ITV announcement on Satellite Free to Air channels you will not need a subscription to get all the standard UK channels but not the sky ones. They are going to have free HD available so I would wait a bit for it to settle and if your TV has HDMI inputs for about €500 you could have a subscription free UK TV service including HD at Esuri.
Hi John, does the satellite free to Air channels us the same as Sky Astra2 or is it at a new location?

Regards

Sorry Ray for that sort of info you need a real expert. There is a thread on here Lab I think where this is probably being discussed at length.

Cheers for all that info....do you book direct with Zitauto or via Dove Travel ?
On the Zitauto site I can only see the Dove travel contact and no direct email to Zit.

Thanks

I think it is the Astra 2D at 28.2ºE, that's what the guy who installed my dish said anyway.
Also for those of you using new tvs with the TDT or digital terrestrial already fitted you can watch some channels and their series or films in English. Just look for the button on the remote with the roman numerals I & II (Yes one and two) hit that button and select the language and suddenly you can watch some tv in English if that is the original language

Don't understand a word of this, but I know you can get square eyed from watching too much tv. Why not get really BIG square eyes, and visit the Sorolla exhibition in Sevilla!
See here:
http://www.exploreseville.com/art.htm#sorolla

There's a connection with Ayamonte:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joaqu%C...olla_y_Bastida

and, in here:

Karma question: Where can you find a (smaller) copy of "La pesca del atun" in Ayamonte?

Regards,
Carol
