Re: How does this country survive?

I've known people eat six Krispy Kremes as a snack. KKs run to about 900 calories. Each.

Re: How does this country survive?

OK, you're talking about a major accident. The 401 around TO is a nightmare all of the time.

On two occasions this year I have taken the bus from Brighton to Heathrow. Much of the trip is on the...

Re: How does this country survive?

Try it on a Friday afternoon, or a Sunday night. The M25 is a racetrack by comparison. The last time we crossed TO on a Friday afternoon, from 20 miles west of it to 20 miles east took over 3 hours....

Re: How does this country survive?

When I go back to the UK these days I can't help but notice how wired folk seem to be. People walk around with those Bluetooth headsets looking like they've been assimilated by the Borg or are...

Re: How does this country survive?

Not a bad little plane either. I normally don't like small aircraft but that one is a cutie. Even if one of the most important bits was clearly designed by a woman.

Re: How does this country survive?

Yes, but Montana has a population of roughly 0.9M people. So we're looking at maybe one murder a month (at worst). Do the same calculation with Toronto and you're looking at just under one a week.

Re: How does this country survive?

There is a rather amusing ad on TV at the moment that features a dog with its arse out the window. I suspect the involvement of dbd.

Re: How does this country survive?

Hardly. Bombardier is, I believe, the world's largest civil aircraft manufacturer after Boeing and Airbus (and last time I looked was the leading employer in Northern Ireland). Oh, it's also the...

Re: How does this country survive?

There's probably a reservist infantry unit near you. Try booking yourself as the entertainment for their Christmas party. I'm sure your stand-up routine will go down well.

Re: How does this country survive?

Judging from the way M&S have traditionally worked, the NF shrimp industry is probably now dependent upon M&S.

Re: How does this country survive?

I suggest that your friends were humouring you or don't leave the bar enough enough to see the news. Canada's "nice" reputation in the world has gone for good.

Re: How does this country survive?

Re: How does this country survive?

This is cobblers. Canada has one of the most technologically advanced economies in the world. Our exports are not, as one might imagine, dominated by natural resources but to manufactured goods....
