jesus and I thought the UK was bad for tax! No tax releif and having to pay tax on my husbands pension definetely isn't a good start:(

Think we are going to have to consider our options on this...

many thanks for that it's been helpful even just getting a rough idea.. still paying a lot of tax though which looks like i'd need to definetely get a job instead of being a stay at home mum.

Can someone tell me how much tax you would roughly pay on $47000 per annum? Someone told me it was roughly 40% of your annual pay which if this is the case there is no way we could afford to survive...
