Hi
I wonder if anyone knows whether the first time buyer tax credit applies if we bought our first house in Canada last year, but owned our house in the Uk previously?

I think you should get them to apply for an LMO for you Dean. They do that, you have no input into it, but hopefully if/when you get that, you can go in on a temp work permit.

my Wife just had a transfer approved by CIC. According the the immigration lawyer in Toronto, there's a new CIC office in Toronto, which is where they applied. It took about 10 days to get approval,...

agreed. I think that their knowledge of the system as a whole leaves a lot to be desired. I was told by one rep of a large company "you'll never get an LMO in Ontario, the unions are clamping down...
